Aluminum wear strip with TPE seal against draft. Suitable for back doors, balcony doors, and patio doors, and ideal for use with Ellen perimeter seals.

The wear strip ARP 6 - R6 fully protects the threshold under an outward-opening door from drafts and wear. Additionally, the aluminum wear strip features an anti-slip surface, preventing slips on a smooth threshold.

Installation advice

To ensure the wear strip functions properly, it is important to install it correctly. Please read the included mounting instructions and follow the step-by-step guide.

Prepare the necessary materials in advance:

  • Tape measure or folding ruler
  • Pencil
  • Hacksaw and file
  • Drill with a Phillips bit

Step-by-step guide: Installing wear strip ARP 6 - R6

  1. Measure the length of the threshold to determine the required length of the wear strip.
  2. Mark the correct length on both the corner profile and the sealing profile.
  3. Cut the profiles to size.
  4. File off any burrs that may have formed on the aluminum.
  5. Position the sealing profile over the corner profile, ensuring the plastic seal is pressed lightly against the door. This prevents excessive closing resistance.
  6. Secure the wear strip using the provided screws.
