Installation advice
Fingers trapped between the door can easily be prevented by correctly mounting the finger protection profile. Read the supplied mounting instructions, watch the mounting instruction video and follow the step-by-step plan.
Prepare the necessary materials in advance:
- Tape measure or folding rule
- Pencil
- Hacksaw
- File
- Drill with Phillips bit
Step-by-step guide: installing Finprotect Plus 5090
- Measure the height of the door. Then subtract 10 mm from this
- Mark where the aluminium holder profile should be: 10 mm from the side and 5 mm from the top
- Mark the correct size on the aluminium holder profile. Note: average the hole pattern for optimal attachment!
- Shorten the aluminium profile to the correct size with the hacksaw and file off any burrs with the file
- Mark the same length as the holder profile on the plastic protection profile
- Shorten the plastic profile to the correct size with the hacksaw and file off any sharp bits with the file
- Screw the holder profile onto the door
- Screw the holder profile onto the frame. Keep the same height and distance here as with the holder profile on the door
- Click the plastic profile into the holder profile. Align the top of both profiles equally to prevent torsion
- Make sure that Finprotect Plus completely closes the gap at the bottom of the door!
