FINGER SAFETY

Ellen Salvadita

Ellen Salvadita

The Ellen Salvadita® is a patented safety system, intended to block the closing side of the door when it slams shut. This can prevent (serious) injuries, especially to children.

Salvadita® blocks the door when it slams shut.

When the door is closed at normal speed, Salvadita® is not activated.

A handy template has been developed to mount the Salvadita® in the right place on the door frame, complete with predefined drill holes. Simply order the mounting template!

Installation advice

A finger caught in the door is easy to prevent by correctly installing Ellen Salvadita®. Read the supplied installation instructions, watch the installation instruction video and follow the step-by-step plan.

Prepare the necessary materials in advance:

  • Tape measure or folding rule
  • Pencil
  • Pointed drill
  • Sandpaper and degreaser
  • Drill with Phillips bit

Step-by-step guide: installing Ellen Salvadita®

  1. Place the door leaf at a distance of 40 mm from the frame.
  2. Place the template on the upper crosspiece of the frame. Note: The rectangular part must be parallel to the crosspiece. The protruding part of Salvadita® must be able to come into contact with the door leaf.
  3. Mark the positions of the mounting holes with a pointed drill.
  4. Place the mounting plate. Make sure that the markings are centered.
  5. Then tighten the screws in the 5 holes in the mounting plate.
  6. Screw the Salvadita device with 2 screws.
  7. Fix the Salvadita cover.
  8. Degrease the upper side of the door surface.
  9. Mount the kick plate with the double-sided adhesive tape on the upper side of the door. Note: the plate must be mounted so that the first point of contact with the Salvadita finger guard is in the middle of the plate.
